Pastor James Thompson IV felt a call to preach the gospel. Being led by the voice of God and his leadership, Bishop Daniel Davy and Pastor Rashidi Collins, he pursued this call and attended Florida Apostolic Bible Center FABC together with his wife and focused in Ministry.
He met Sarah at the campus in Seffner, Florida and the couple married in 2018. Their ministry began together as they served in Mentorship, Sunday School, Youth Ministry, Campus Ministry, and as an interim Pastor in Haines City.
Rev. James believes in education and therefore received two BA's in Business Management and Finance from USF as well as received his MBA from the university of Miami. His wife Sarah attended Urshan Bible College as a Christian Ministries major and completed her theological studies at FABC. Both feeling a call to ministry, they received their ministerial licenses with the UPCI.
The Thompson family felt a call to Sarasota and under the leadership of Bishop Davy and Pastor Collins, planted New Life Tabernacle Sarasota on April 15, 2022.
They believe God has a great vision for this city and have submitted their lives to the call He has placed in their hearts.

Rashidi Collins
Senior Pastor
Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Rashidi Collins was called to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ at an early age. After moving to America and serving in the United States Air Force, he entered into full-time ministry under the leadership of Bishop Daniel Davy.
Subsequently he was sent by Bishop Davy to plant Victory Tabernacle UPC in Tampa, Florida, where he spent over ten years building a great church. He has now returned to New Life Tabernacle in Tampa and has become the full-time Pastor of the Mother Church.
He is married to the love of his life Sister Sharlene Collins and has two beautiful children, Judah David and Gabrielle Zion.
